For an effective way to prolong the life of your soap it is important to keep it in a soap dish that allows the water to drain. If your soap sits in too much excess water after use it can become soft and may be used much quicker than it should.
Our soaps don’t contain anything else but raw, natural ingredients. We do not use any nasty additives which are often used in commercial soaps to prolong their life, for example, steric acid and sodium lactate. This just means natural soaps need a little more love, but they will thank you, your skin and the environment for it.
We have come up with a quick solution to prolong the life of your soap using nothing more than a wooden skewer. Just follow our simple instructions!
- Take a long wooden skewer and trim it so it fits the width of your soap dish. If you don’t have a soap dish, then a saucer will work fine also.
- You’ll need two lengths of the skewer, then rest these over the dish and place your soap on top so it is supported.
- That’s it, you’re done!
Of course, you can use anything similar to a wooden skewer like a lollipop stick or two cocktail sticks. It just needs to raise your soap away from any standing water, allowing it to remain dry and hard.
